“Show Us Your Hilton Head” Photo Contest — Official Rules

1. Sponsor

The “Show Us Your Hilton Head” Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Royal Dunes Resort, 8 Wimbledon Court, Hilton Head Island, SC (“Sponsor”). The Contest is administered on behalf of the Sponsor by Waterwheel Marketing (“Administrator”).

2. Contest period

The Contest begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time on June 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on June 30, 2026 (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received within the Contest Period to be eligible.

3. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Entry is open to current owners at Royal Dunes Resort, current guests staying at Royal Dunes Resort, and past guests of Royal Dunes Resort.

Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, Administrator, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members of each are not eligible to enter or win.

By entering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements.

4. How to enter

To enter, visit the official entry form at https://waterwheelmarketing.involve.me/hilton-head-photo-giveaway during the Contest Period and:

  1. Complete the entry form, including your name, email address, and entry category (owner, current guest, or past guest)
  2. Upload one (1) photograph taken on Hilton Head Island
  3. Submit the form

Each photograph submitted counts as one (1) entry. Entrants may submit multiple photographs during the Contest Period; each unique photograph constitutes a separate entry. Duplicate submissions of the same photograph will be counted as a single entry. Automated, robotic, or scripted entries are prohibited and will be disqualified.

There is no cost to enter. Internet access and a valid email address are required.

5. Photo requirements

To be eligible, each submitted photograph must:

  • Be taken on or depict Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
  • Be the original work of the entrant
  • Be owned in full by the entrant, with all rights cleared
  • Be family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences
  • Not contain any third-party trademarks, logos, copyrighted material, or recognizable individuals (other than the entrant) without the necessary permissions
  • Not contain nudity, profanity, violence, illegal activity, or any content that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that does not meet these requirements or that Sponsor deems inappropriate for any reason.

6. Prize

One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded: the “Hilton Head Beach Bundle,” consisting of one (1) Hilton Head Island monogrammed beach bag and one (1) Turkish cotton beach towel from Mark & Graham. Approximate retail value (ARV): $195.00 USD.

The prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

Prize will be shipped to the winner via the Royal Dunes Resort team. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. Any applicable federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

7. Winner selection and notification

One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period using a random selection tool. The drawing will take place on or about July 7, 2026.

The winner will be notified by email at the address provided on the entry form within seven (7) business days of the drawing. The winner must respond and confirm acceptance of the prize within seven (7) days of notification. If the winner cannot be reached, does not respond within the required time, is found to be ineligible, or declines the prize, an alternate winner may be selected at random in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

The winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and (where lawful) a publicity release prior to receiving the prize.

8. Grant of rights and license to submitted photos

By submitting a photograph to the Contest, each entrant grants Sponsor and Administrator a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and promote the submitted photograph and the entrant’s name in any and all media, now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose related to the Contest, the Sponsor’s marketing, or the promotion of Royal Dunes Resort and Hilton Head Island, including but not limited to use on the Sponsor’s website, email marketing, social media channels, printed materials, and advertising.

Each entrant represents and warrants that:

  • They are the sole author and owner of the submitted photograph
  • They have obtained all necessary rights, consents, and releases from any individuals identifiable in the photograph and from the owner of any private property depicted
  • Use of the submitted photograph by Sponsor will not infringe the rights of any third party

Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to credit photographers when feasible but is not obligated to do so.

9. Publicity release

By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, photograph, likeness, voice, and biographical information by Sponsor for advertising, promotional, and publicity purposes in any and all media, without further compensation, notice, review, or approval, except where prohibited by law.

10. Privacy

Information collected from entrants will be used by Sponsor and Administrator to administer the Contest and may be used for marketing communications from Royal Dunes Resort if the entrant has opted in. Personal information will not be sold to third parties. By entering, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in these rules.

11. General conditions

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest at any time, including for any reason that compromises the fairness, integrity, or proper administration of the Contest. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.

By entering, each entrant agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless Sponsor, Administrator, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, damages, or losses of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.

Sponsor is not responsible for: late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, or undeliverable entries; technical failures of any kind; errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operation or transmission; or any combination thereof.

12. Disputes and governing law

This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Contest shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Beaufort County, South Carolina. By entering, each entrant waives any right to a jury trial.

13. Social media disclaimer

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, or any other social media platform. Entrants understand they are providing information to Sponsor and Administrator, not to any social media platform.

14. Winner list and questions

To request the name of the winner or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Royal Dunes Resort, Attn: Photo Contest, [Resort Street Address], Hilton Head Island, SC [ZIP]. Requests must be received within sixty (60) days after the end of the Contest Period.
