Hilton Head Island Golf Week Vacation Package

Planning a Hilton Head golf week is one of the easiest ways to turn a few days off into a trip everyone remembers. Five championship courses sit within a short drive of one another, the weather plays along most of the year, and the rhythm is simple: a different course each morning, then the beach, the pool or the courts all afternoon. This free guide maps out a Hilton Head golf week day by day, so a foursome, a couple or the whole family can spend less time planning and more time playing.

How to plan a Hilton Head golf week

The best Hilton Head golf week has a loose rhythm rather than a packed schedule. Play one course each morning while the greens are quiet, then let the afternoon go where the group wants. Spring and fall bring the friendliest weather and the busiest tee sheets, so book a few weeks out in peak season, while summer is the easy pick for families. Stay somewhere with a full kitchen and room to spread out, so mornings start slow and group dinners can happen in. Our day-by-day plan builds all of that into seven days, with a home base at Royal Dunes just minutes from every tee.

Five courses to build your Hilton Head golf week around

All five courses are part of the Heritage Golf Collection, so a week spent across them feels like one connected experience rather than five separate outings.

  • Barony at Port Royal is a George Cobb classic from the early 1960s, one of the island’s original courses, with generous greens and demanding bunkers.
  • Robbers Row at Port Royal is a Pete Dye redesign on historic ground, scenic and well suited to intermediate players.
  • Oyster Reef is a 1982 Rees Jones design and a longtime local favorite, home to one of the most memorable holes on Hilton Head.
  • Shipyard runs 27 holes across three nines under Carolina pines and moss-draped oaks, the easygoing family-friendly pick.
  • Palmetto Hall offers two championship courses, including the Arthur Hills layout named 2024 Golf Course of the Year.

Play a new one each morning or go back to the favorite from day one. The package covers course access, cart fees are paid at each course, and you can bring or rent clubs.

More than golf: tennis, pickleball and the beach

Not everyone in the group plays 18 every day, and a good week leaves room for that. Har-Tru tennis courts and dedicated pickleball courts sit about a mile away at Port Royal Golf and Racquet Club, and the beach and pool are always the afternoon fallback with nothing to book. That mix is what makes the trip work for mixed groups, not just the golfers, and it is why so many families turn one visit into a yearly habit.

The simplest way to book your Hilton Head golf week

The Unlimited Sports Package covers up to four players for a full week of golf across all five courses, plus tennis and pickleball, for $200. Split four ways across a week, it is one of the better values on the island. Add it when you book, at check-in or by calling ahead, and reserve tee times early in peak season so your Hilton Head golf week starts exactly the way you planned it.
